Thomas J. Ueberschaer is a graduate of Binghamton University where he received his B.A. in Political Science in 1990. In 1993, he received his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law. Mr. Ueberschaer has been practicing law in Northwest Florida since 1994.
Mr. Ueberschaer is a member of the Board of Governors for Florida Workers' Advocates. He is a member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Ueberschaer is an active supporter of the rights of injured workers and frequently lobbies in Tallahassee to protect and secure these rights.
Mr. Ueberschaer actively litigates cases involving all types of personal injury, workers' compensation, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect and social security disability claims.
Mr. Ueberschaer was born in Frankfurt, Germany and maintains his fluency in German.
Michael Valen is a graduate of Saint Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Germany in 1982. He also attended the University of Konstanz in Germany studying Literaturwissenshaft in 1980. He later graduated from the Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School, becoming a commissioned officer in 1983.
Mr. Valen worked as a naval aviator, with 1000 hours aboard an F-14 aircraft and 200 arrested carrier landings. Thereafter, he graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1993. Mr. Valen attended Florida State University College of Law on scholarship while working for the House Committee on Commerce as a Legislative Intern between 1992 and 1993. During that time he was published by Florida State University Law Review: "A Legislative History of Worker's Compensation Review in Florida". Since practicing law, he has had numerous published appellate decisions. He practices in the fields of personal injury, workers' compensation, social security disability.
Eric P. Sventek is a graduate of Binghamton University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in political science in 1990. Mr. Sventek then worked in agriculture and heavy equipment sales for eleven years before returning to law school in 2001. In 2004, he graduated magna cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law in Ohio. Mr. Sventek has been practicing in Florida since 2004.
Mr. Sventek actively litigates cases involving insurance claims, personal injury, workers compensation, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, and social security disability claims.
Mr. Sventek is originally from the Buffalo, New York area, and has also spent time near Gainesville, Florida and Akron, Ohio. Eric has lived full time in Northwest Florida since May of 2004, and is looking forward to spending many years to come in the area.
